Artist Statement:
The most important part of each of my projects reflects the beauty of nature and it is not about the images themselves because they are just a part of a larger picture, it is more about conserving and protecting our world. We can make a very strong impact by defending our environment, wildlife, and endangered species that remain on our planet that have been impacted by human activity. I, also, see these images helping those who cannot get out to see and feel, by bringing the environment to them by way of photography. As a photographer, it is my duty to portray a wide range of photography that is devoted to giving a viewer information or to teach visually the importance of preserving our park-lands, and the balance nature plays in our world today as well as in our future, and to remind the viewer that we must be stewards of the land.
I have always had a strong connection to nature since I was a child and I have always felt comfortable being around wildlife, may it be sitting with a wolf to watching birds flying, or deer playing in a field. I have, also, had opportunities to rescue animals, such as just recently as this year, by saving an injured Barred Owl who had a broken leg. This is why that each project I undertake is important for me to do and to show my passion for nature through photography.
